The Rev. Dr. Bronco H. Crooke

 

Rev. Bronco Crooke is the Pastor Trinity United Methodist Church in Richmond Hill. She was appointed to these positions August 1, 2013, by Bishop Martin D. McLee, Resident Bishop of the New York Area of The United Methodist Church.

Rev. Dr. Wilkes-Crooke was inspired by the educational structure given her at Claflin University. She pursued her educational endeavors while teaching in the NYC public school system for 34 years, earning a MS in Education (Sports Psychology) in 1980, Master of Divinity and Master of Professional Studies in 2006.

Rev. Dr. Wilkes-Crooke received her certifications as Chaplain from APCE HealthCare Chaplaincy after interning at Beth Israel Medical Center and Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Church of God Chaplains Commission in 2006-2007.

She retired from the NYC Board of Education in 2008. In 2009 she was accepted in the Doctor of Ministry Program at New York Theological Seminarywhere her studies were focused in Multi-Faith Ministry integrating the three major religions of the world Judaism, Christianity and Islam graduating in May of 2012 with a Doctor of Ministry Multi-Faith Track Degree.

A few of her accomplishments are: Believing Women in Strength - Spirit Award; National Association of Professional Women - Award of Excellence; American Federation of Teachers - Exemplary Service Award; Claflin University Alumni Clergy Women Religious Award and UnionUnited Methodist Women Presidential Award. All of she her accomplishments are credited to the Grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ with the support of her husband Norman, daughter Kimberly, family and friends.

She attributes her nurturing and guidance to her parents the late Eugene and Idella Harley.
